Q | I'm planning a visit to Block Island. Can you help me plan this trip?

My family of 5 will travel to Jamestown, Rhode Island this summer. I'm wondering about visiting Block Island from there. Would it be worth it? Too long a ferry voyage in one day? Do we really not need a car on the island as we're traveling with three kids ages 14, 12, and 4? -Debra, Delaware
