Definitely make reservations for Serendipity 3. When we couldn't get in, we went down the street to Patsy's Pizza and enjoyed the coal-oven pies. Across the street is Dylan's Candy Bar.

Also, Ellen's Stardust Diner is great, but the acoustics and small space make it pretty loud. Our 4-year old didn't like the noise, so we had to leave. We ended up at the world's largest Applebee's around the corner, and that was just fine for us.
