Family Travel Question:
Q | Can you recommend a place to stay between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Burlington, Vermont?
Our family is traveling through from Philadelphia to Burlington, Vermont via Albany, New York. Do you have any suggestions for a nice affordable place to spend the night along the way? Our kids are 3 and 5 years old. -Marcelle, Pennsylvania
A | The Hill Farm Inn: Family accomodations in Vermont
I’ve done this very drive many times, and when my kids were younger we often stopped overnight on the way. One of our favorite places to stay was at the Hill Farm Inn just outside Manchester, Vermont. This affordable inn offers both suites and cottages that are perfect for families with young kids.
Your children will love seeing the animals in the barn, playing board games on the porch, or going for a nature walk on the lovely trail behind the inn. Rooms come with a full homemade breakfast. If you decide to stay for a few days, you can hike, bike, or swim nearby.
When you hit the road for Burlington, be sure to make a stop at the Vermont Country Store in Weston where your children (and you) will love the jars of candy and the old-fashioned toys and products.
