Thanksgiving hike in VermontHolidays are more than just times for gathering together as a family – they are a time to enjoy special events or travel traditions that we look forward to throughout the rest of the year. There are many different types of special activities: Your family might have a resort where they gather year after year, a hike you always like to take after stuffing yourself with a big holiday meal, or an event or exhibit you enjoy visiting together like a Thanksgiving parade or the annual lighting of a Christmas tree. This week we’d like to take some time to share our special holiday outings and activities.

Over the past four weeks we’ve been sharing a carnival of blog posts focused on answering questions about holiday travel for families. Each week we’ve posted a holiday travel question, which our panel of family travel experts answered by sharing links to posts on their own sites. You can visit the blog carnival page to see some of the other questions we’ve already answered. And if you’ve got your own questions, please use the form in our banner to ask us. Don’t want to miss any of our great family travel answers? Please subscribe or follow us on Facebook.

If you would like to share a link this week, please do so using the form below. Questions? Please see About the Best Family Travel Holiday Blog Carnival page. And if you do decide to participate, please link back to this post from your post.

This week we’re looking at family holiday travel traditions. Please tell us: What kinds of special holiday travel traditions do you share with your family and friends? Share your ideas for holiday outings. And if you’re looking for some new traditions of your own, we hope you’ll be inspired!
