If you’re planning on spending most of your time in Ireland, it’s a tremendous place to take a road trip: the scenery is stunning and there’s a long list of active things to do along the way. A perfect match for a father and son vacation!
An American mom living in Ireland gave us some terrific tips and advice on things to do in Ireland with kids. Although it’s tempting to try and pack every main attraction into a trip, it’s actually better to focus on just a few things so you don’t end the trip exhausted.

I was in Ireland a few years ago and The Cliffs of Moher will stick with me forever it’s so spectacular. The area in and around Connemara also makes a terrific home-base if you want to focus on one area instead of driving each day.
