We did an "all inclusive" resort in Jamaica before kids and hated it - nothing wrong with the resort, but we felt trapped there and wanted to get out and explore. After kids we did an all-inclusive resort in Mexico (same basic idea) and it was the BEST EVER!!! Not having to think about food (or dishes!) was the best part, but also having the kids club and the beach and the pool and evening kids parties. It was really fantastic - and would have HATED it prekids. Great post! It’s so important to revisit your idea of a “good vacation” once you have kids.
