A | Vacation suggestions for families with large age gaps
A great vacation idea for families with large age gaps with their children would be either a cruise or beach vacation. Even better: A cruise to a beach location! A cruise is a great option for your family because there will be something for everyone. The younger kids can go off to the ships daycare that specializes in children’s activities and your teen can go off and hang out at the center available on most cruise ships. Teen centers are a great place for your child to find friends and participate in age-appropriate activities. You can all reconvene for meals or family time and enjoy time on the ports.
As for beach vacations, you usually can’t go wrong. Your younger ones will enjoy building sand castles and splashing in the water while your teen can check out the beach scene, explore the piers and maybe even find enjoyment playing with their younger siblings.
I don’t have a lot of experience traveling with teens but I know for younger children you may want to avoid sightseeing-heavy vacations. Save the Europe and South America trips for when they are older. And on the flip side your teen may not enjoy a Sea World or Disney vacation as much.
Either way make sure you enjoy your time together! Family vacations are a great way to get away from the normal stresses and bond.
