Durhamtown PlantationDurhamtown Plantation, about 1.5 hours east of Atlanta,
started as a hunting lodge, but is now best know for it’s dirt bike and ATV tracks. You can still hunt there (as well as do sporting clays, fishing and use a rifle range), but they’ve also added 100 miles of one way ATV and motorcycle trails, nine tracks, supercross, MX, a dirt drag strip, a dirt flat oval and a freestyle park. Many of the employees are also riders that perform across the country in freestyle shows, spending their off time at Durhamtown, so you may be able to get some tips from the pros. You can bring your own machine, or rent one onsite. Stay in one of the cabins on-property or for more luxurious accommodations; try the nearby Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee.

North Georgia Canopy Tours in Lula offers several zip lining
adventures, as well as overnight accommodations in a tepee – something a little
different. Go on a 2- or 3-hour adventure with a final dual zip that allows you to race a partner. The best part? They’re very good at getting the first timer comfortable with the heights and the process.
