I’m Amie O’Shaughnessy, the Editor of Ciao Bambino. We provide comprehensive family travel insight through our blog and family-friendly hotel reviews, but we don’t have all the answers. In my own travels I’ve learned that it’s always better to get perspective from a number of different sources in order to get the complete picture.

Last fall, I approached Jennifer Miner of The Vacation Gals and Jamie Pearson of Travel Savvy Mom – two fantastic resources for family travel – to brainstorm on ways to collaborate to offer broad perspective to parents around the world who have the same questions, concerns, and worries about traveling with kids in a single resource.

We agreed that creating a Questions and Answers database would be a great way to assuage parents’ fears and simplify the planning process. So, we invited a group of the best experts online today to join our exciting new project.

Here’s how Best Family Travel Advice works

Ask a question and one or more of the experts will answer it. Of course, your question may have already been answered so we made it easy to search for previously asked questions through our Topics page.

We’ll never store or sell your email address, so feel free to ask us a question without worrying that you are joining yet another marketing list.   There’s often more than one answer to a family vacation question, so be prepared for a variety of answers.  This is the beauty of pooling our opinions in a single interface!  Readers can pick and choose between the answers that resonate with them.

The experts

The other family travel experts on our team include Michelle Duffy of Wandermom, Mara Gorman of The Mother of All Trips, Meg Keogh of Backpack to Buggy, Debbie Dubrow of Delicious Baby, Linda Kramer of Travels with Children, Colleen Lanin of Travel Mamas, and Amy Whitley of Pit Stops for Kids.

Between the group of us, we can answer questions around an enormous range of destinations and interests. We’ll endeavor to respond in a timely fashion, although we want to ensure we answer everything completely and this may delay a reply.  If we don’t know an answer, we’ll find an expert that does.

Huge, special thanks to Michelle Duffy, Mara Gorman, and Jennifer Miner – these amazing women have worked tirelessly over the past several months to develop this much-needed resource for traveling families everywhere!

Don’t be shy, come on over and ask a question …
